XBOX 360 is awesome as far as cheapness is considered. But when it comes to hardcore gaming ps3 is the best choice i do prefer playstation 3.Playstation 3 definitely have the potential to beat xbox 360.It has blu-ray player which let the developers make 50 giga games and of course size plays an important role in making a beautiful game..

I have a PS3 right now, 60gb and I'm enjoying it very much! I've also played an x360 and it was also very enjoyable. Most people argue that the PS3 is too expensive but they don't realize how much it's really worth. I mean, it has a built in blu-ray player! worth $800+ alone and if you want to watch hd movies on the 360, add another $200 on for the HD-DVD player. I'm sure though, which ever console you get, you'll be very pleased it with it. Also, if you were going to get a PS3, you MIGHT want to wait until March because that's when it's launching in Europe and lots of games will be released then because PS3 does not have a big library of games yet, which the 360 does (hence it got a year head start). If you were to get one now, I reccomend Resistance: Fall of Man. That's the game I have and it is truly an amazing game!

In terms of the console itself, the PS3 has a much more powerfull processor and promises to deliver much better developed games. BUT, for now the Xbox 360 has a wider variety of games and it's media center and online services work much better than the PS3. It is said that Sony is preparing a surprise on it's online service, we will have to wait to see. The biggest problem to Sony is that the 360 works very well integrated with a PC, and they are trying to do all the job on the console itself, and the SDK (the kit for developing the games) is one of the hardest to deal with... time will tell wich will win the competition!

PS3 all the way. The Xbox 360 has had some trouble, and a group of people have now filed a lawsuit against Microsoft because of it... I'd turn my Xbox in anyday if I owned one, and get myself an 80Gig Playstation.
