Is the United States winning the war in Iraq?

I thik it is althoug there already a thousand of American soldiers has died, but still the U.S the a control over the situation..

The only one who can win the war in Iraq is the people of Iraq. They need to stop the violence and take advantage of the opportunity to grow their country. They need to share the wealth and stop the sectarian violence. Lloyd

I wont say they are in control of the situation, if they were then no more soldiers would die now would they? :-) But of course they are winning, it's just a matter of time.
