So, the news for the Chargers in the past 24 hours is that Marty Shottenheimer was fired. How do you feel about this?
Me, I'm quite confused. We have become a better team but I'm not really sure that this was Marty's doing. I am interested to see who will replace him and if our team dynamics will hold together.

Maybe I'm not really paying enough attention, but I never really understood why the guy got fired!?

They never really stated why. He had been with the team for 8 years and twice took them to the playoffs but couldn't get them into the Superbowl. I am assuming that is a major reason why. It was speculated on the news that his relationship with the owners was "dysfunctional".

I'm with you. Since Marty started, the team has been playing much better overall. But, is this because of him, or because of the type of players they've recruited? I wonder who will replace him.

yea i sorta cant believe it too right after he took the team to the playoffs and its also the season he stopped playing it martyball style. but then again he's too old
