The feelgood factor! Admiration from afar.

I was recently in New York and a young man came up to me, tapped me on the shoulder and said "I can see you're married from your rings, but I just wanted to tell you I think you are really beautiful". Then he left without giving me a chance to respond. Not that I could have, I was dumbstruck. I have to say, as a mother of 3 young kids, I felt great for the rest of the day, no actually, week! Anyway, it got me thinking, do you think there are people out there who go around with no ulterior motive but to make people (who they don't know) smile?
