Happy valentines day to all my dear mylot friends!
Today is the most celebrated valentines day for couples and family as well.
There is one movie quote from one of the finest movie I watched that marks my mind and heart the move LOVE STORY that was one of the best movie I wathced and the quote was "LOVE MEANS NEVER HAVING TO SAY I'M SORRY"Today not only our heart tremble and filled with love and excitement as for a change I just want to work your minds and your intellectual point of view of what is the real meaning behind the famous quotes on this valentines day!!!Happy valentines to all!

Actually this quote was genuinely taken from Eric Seagall's masterpiece novel "Love Story". The movie came after that and was inspired by the very same novel, for your kind information. Some things were added and some were omitted for picturising purposes but thats where it originally headed from.

Like you might take The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy a movie pack but these were actually novels written by Robert Ludlum. Actually he wrote a trilogy and the third one was The Bourne Ultimatum but I think filmmakers did not found it amusing enough for screening purposes. But the real acclaim goes to the writer, of course, who thought up and enliven it.

Thanks zotopec! I really love the novel and the movie too I really stated that this quote came from the movie LOVE STORY and just really wanted to know how myLOt friends will interpret the quote for I believe each of us have different views of a word or a quote.

Yes Happy Valentines day to you as well!! Today is celebrated all over the world on the 14th of February, 2007 some people are not up to that date yet but I am as I live in Australia, they send love and give affection to those they love but I do not understand why we have to have a special day for this when we should do it everyday!! Love story was a wonderful movie, I love it and the meaning of love which is very true.

i agree that love is somethin very special...but if u are in love...and the other person is in love with u ...then i guess u dont need to show it everyday....it is what u call affection and love.....if u try to prove it everyday...it loses everything......it has got...so chill....and stay happy

Movies like that are about fantasy, not real life. I defy anyone to get through years and years of a relationship without ever having to say they're sorry for something. And that doesn't mean you love a person less. So basically, the quote means absolutely nothing.

If Love really meant that, then I need never speak ever again!! haha. But unfortunately I don't think my better half would let me get away with things and just say that I love her! haha. She expects an appology when I do something wrong and upset her or someone else! haha.
But it is a nice quote. And I would like to say Happy Valentine's day back to you and everyone who has posted on this discussion.

i dont believe that. sometimes, it is necessary and important to tell your partner that you're sorry, you're the guilty party and you didn't mean to hurt them. its nothing to do with your love, apologizing for something wrong you've done is just plain courtesy and humanity on your part, to let the other person know that you value their feelings too. acknowledging your error and trying to make up for it to show to your loved one that you are sincere with your apology of course is what would right the wrong thing you've done and not the plain "im sorry" words.

Hmmm.. I havent watch the movie yet but I think the meaning of the quote is like this--When someone you truly doesnt need to say sorry because even he/she is about to say sorry he/she is already forgiven...But I think this is a very Idealistic one...we should have the guts to say sorry to anyone..not only for the one we love.

ryan o'neal and ali mcgraw.this is embarrassing , i just realized that i have not seen the movie since its run in the seventies.but i am familiar about the famous line.
if one loves , one understands the other and almost always you know how one feels and thinks. well, that's my thought.

I haven't seen that movie yet...but my mother really says It's a beautiful one.
When I say "I'm sorry".. it means I did or said something that hurt the love of my life, or him feeling bad or, worst, cry. So that if we love someone, we must never say or do something that will hurt him, or make him or cry... and we will never have to say "sorry" for the rest of our lives.
