Wedding ring always worn on the third finger? Is it true? Why?

I have my ring on my finger next to my pinkie.:P I keep transferring to my left then right. Its because when we got married, it always started on the right. But people say its more known to be on the left so moved it.:) I dont really know why theres a certain inportance on where rings are placed. just know that the ring is a symbol on itself already of your commitment. Wherever the ring is placed, it will still remind you of the love that you binded together and sworn in front of everyone.

oh! i always thought it should be worn on the fourth finger! now it wont fit my third... *sigh*
