If any of you have read Stephen Kings series The Dark Tower, you may have noticed it connects to many of his other books. Like, in book five, Wolves of Calla, Reverand Callahan shows up and finds the book Saloms Lot and reads about himself in it. Can you imagin how creepy that would be?

my boyfriend is a huge Stephen King fan. Mostly of the Dark Tower series....he even has Dark tower oriented tattoos. When we first started dating, he got my reading The Gunslinger by our second month of dating.
He told me about how many of the books connect, not just the 7 books in the dark tower series, but also, as you mentioend Salem's Lot, The Stand, Black House, Hearts in Atlantis....and more.
It's amazing all the attention to detail that goes into keeping a universe like that running, without getting confused. It's also really fun reading books are realzing how all thing are interconnected. Ka is a wheel.

Yeah there are quite a few that are connected to The Dark Tower series. I have uploaded a picture of a road map which is a rough guide to what is connected and where http;//www.mylot.com/w/image/1268406.aspx
Reading the map is easy. Before you read any of the books listed, make sure you have finished the ones which point to it. This will make sure that you don't come across any spoilers and will understand references made to previous books.
For those that haven't read any start with The Gunslinger and work your way down the list following the arrows.

I noticed this about King's books too. In 'Insomnia', there are references to Gage Creed, the little boy in Pet Semetary. 'Dreamcatcher' references the children in 'IT'. There are many more that I can't think of off the top of my head. I like it, it links the stories, which makes sense, since most of them are set in Maine. It's also like a little something extra for the avid readers.
