Discussion by yourself with no or less responses !!!

i just think maybe my discuusion wasn't of much interest to other mylot users and thats maybe why they never responded so i always think and try to put up a better discussion next time

I can tell you why almost exactly. You have to have friends that will respond to your discussions. That is what everyone does...they go to their list of "discussions my friends started" and go from there expecting their friends to return the favor. So if you want a million responses then just get a million friends!

I don't think it's because the subject isn't interesting and definitely not because other users don't like you. I've only been on the site 4 days or so and I posted some discussions which had no responses for several days and I tried not to get paranoid about it and hoped that eventually I would get responses - it took a few days and then I started getting responses and some very good ones. I made some friends from these first few responses and in turn went to read discussions they started and comment on the ones they has started. I don't comment on topics that are of no interest to me and if someone is asking for advice in an area that I know nothing about, there's no point in me saying something which is not relevant to the question or something that is not going to be helpful. There is a link which takes you to discussions with no responses and I've been checking that regularly to see if there are any there that I can respond to as I know that you can feel a bit neglected if you don't get any responses at all. For example, I've posted a discussion on Agatha Christie who is my favourite writer and there have been no responses but hopefully another fan of hers will eventually see the thread and respond to it. Good luck - hope you get more responses, but don't think it's because of people not liking you. Just keep remembering that someone will find the topic of interest to them and respond eventually :)
