Did anyone see last week's episode? I felt so terrible for Maron. She came off as being so hurt and vulnerable, right in front of Lynn. No girl wants to look that way in front of your ex's new girlfriend.
The whole extravagant gift thing is something I totally see myself doing though. It's like, you try your hardest to do something really nice so that you seem like you're okay and you can pretend everything is normal, yet you don't realize that by doing that you are only making your pain more obvious.

Oh, God, I think I've done that, too. I was so uncomfortable while watching it, because I knew I was looking in a mirror from some distant past stupid thing I'd done. The writing on this show is so valid and so to the core. The setting and the circumstances may be a bit out of the norm, but the rest of it is so natural and rings so true to so many people's lives.
