I love hip-hop music. Everything from the beats, the vocals, everything. I don't like the violence caused by hip-hop, but that's what gives it spice.
What do you think about rap music.

hiphop is all about reality. any artist who doesnt understand that either gets a single hit song or no hits at all. that's why i can still say that hiphop is still real.
its just like any other type of music, its a way of expression. so noone cares about what the lyrics are, what range the voice was, what melody/tempo/harmony was used. at the end of the day its all about the artist and the listener and whether or not the music connected them.

I didn't like rap at first because the songs I heard, at first, were mostly "gangsta" and the lyrics were outrageously offensive. But, I've found Christian rap and R & B and I love it!

What I hear is about raping women and killing mamas with their children or other awful things. That may be real, but I see and hear enough about these things in real life that I don't want to listen to it over and over again.
I think Christian rap is reality, too.

Yes, I think Christain rap is good. But I like "real" christain rappers. I don't wanna just hear about stuff I read in the bible. Anybody can take sentences and make them rhyme. I don't like hearing about killing people and liking it, and stuff like that. Well, I like any rapper that is good with lyrics (good multis, good flow, good metaphors etc.) If it sounds good I like it.
Download "Filthy Rich" by SPM, or "I'ma Husla" by Cassidy. They use multi syllabic rhyming. Only skilled rappers such as my self use that technique. (there are a few exeptions" They use that techinique to prove their skill, and flow with the beat. I have only heard one christian rapper with actual skill.

The gangsta is expressing the reality. Well some of it. The other half is what gangsta people do with their money.

I understand. I have the same thing with any other music. I like some R&B. But I just can't listen to any other music because I don't get pleasure in my ears from it. I know what you mean. People have different taste (in this case hearing)

I don't like noise and that's what rap music sounds like to me. I think there is far too much noise going on in the world today -- so much that most kids can't even do their homework unless they have earphones on anymore.
If you put my granddaughter on a desert island with no radio, cellphone, or CD player for 2 hours alone, I think she would turn into a blathering idiot, and be carted off for treatment of shock.
What ever happened to enjoying peace and quiet? I guess variety is suppose to be the spice of life, but I will be happy to do without a bunch of the things that just sound like "Noise" to me.

I think that what your saying is, rap is "too" good.
We need something to feed all of our senses. Our taste, vision, hearing, feeling, and smell. Well....I can live without being able to smell
