How old is your oldest rat? mine is three yrs. old

My oldest is over 3 years old. I sure do wish they lived longer, for sure. However, knowing they don't, I try to treasure the time we have together. :)

It's sad thing that rats lives so shortly:/ My rat is about 1.5 year old now, and she feels well, and looks great, but I think if her life will last 3 years it will be maximum:( So sorry about that, she is so lovely and I miss her every time I am all day away from home. I play with my rat about hour or more every day, and I'm trying to feed my rat reasonably. It's all I can do to keep her fit:)

mine only ever got about 1 year old.. i dont know why but they would kill each other?

I had two rats several years ago that were three before they passed away, but my newest two rats are only about 3 months. I've never heard of a rat living to be four but I'm sure there's one out there somewhere.
