I just read a discussion here that I want to respond but as I go over the exchange of post it makes me so sad, why because as far as I know we are here to make friends, shere business, share lifes experiences and be of help to others. most of the post I've read are asking an advice, help, sharing tips and ideas but this one( I will not mention for it might trigger again an argument) so a members of my lot, how would you feel if you answered a post then the one who started it will not only argue but will be angry with you. I think we must respect each others opinion if to be corrected or you are not in favour can we not be polite to post an answer... just thinking

ofcourse..i have so many people who have differing opinions to mine and not only i positive rate them but commend them on the chalenge of a thriving and lively debate..this is what discussion is all about..a melting pot of opinions and brainstorming..we MUST respect each others views..and be polite with each other..i believe in agreeing to disagree lol..this is my life principle..if all the roses were the same shape and colour wouldn't it be a bit boring? don't be upset..the person being rude and arrogant is the one making a fool of him/herself..not you..you must never take the burden of ther's bad actions..i did that long enough..now i just shrug my shoulders and soldier..on.. cheer up..keep up the good postings and never despair..

we all come from different backgrounds and different cultures, some days we are all stressed out to and as my lot has become our second (and for some first too) home we tend to take off our manners too. so many people put on a mannered face for just outside home and the take off their manners along with their shoes at home. Thats the syndrome you often come across at this forum too. Don't get i to the fight if you are not up to it. just move on and some people do apologies too after a while. Mainly religious posts are ones which generally provoke such responses. Even I get bugged sometimes when I see post after post on the same topic, I feel why these people do not make a search before posting discussions. then I couldn't help being rude too. If you see a really offensive person around you can always report him and mylot will take care of it. Some people provoke you on purpose to draw more responses so be vary of those too. I hope it helps you and a little patience and some ignorance will go a long way on my lot.

I agree, we are here to be civil. I have responded to a discussion, once, with what I thought was a genuine observation, but it turned out, I was not welcome, because I was not joining in to bash people from certain countries. The person who started the discussion then just jumped in with both feet, and stomped all over what I thought was a reasonable statement. I am leery now.
