Anybody out here who wants to share with me the heartache of having a relative that stays abroad and that you only see once a year. My daughter stays in the UK. When she just left (10 years ago) we tried to visit once a year but it was not always possible.
We are going to visit the end of this year after a period of almost 3 years. We phone and email each other regularly but there are days that I miss her so much I just want to cry and never stop. Any other cry babies out there? :D

Wow a response at last. I feel much better. Yes it is very sad, allot of our countries youngsters are abroad, and I am sure the fathers are taking it just as hard, they just pretend not to. You are right about easter:) She is doing very well thank you, although she is no longer a SA citizen, because of our law, as you know. I can't wait for the end of this year, this time it was a long stretch not seeing each other. Thank you very much for your interest

I hear you, my kids are still small but i see my elder bro family and his kids, he's here and his daughters and one of his boys are in the states studying and working. His wife is between here and there, it is not an easy life at all, i believe the emotional part is the most difficult one. I do understand it when you say u feel like crying. I myself dunno what would my kids do when they grow up it is real hard situation.
