Do you think younger ones are much more important to you?

I'm the elder one in my family.I have a brother who is 6 yrs younger than me?We use to quarell each other always?But my parent's always use to scold me.They say that I,m the person who should control him.They always asks me to give up.Why always should I?I think that both children should have equal responsibilities.What do you consider?

Oh, you didn't mention your age when your parents would scold you whenever you and your brother would fight. For me, if both of you are old enough to know what's right or wrong, then there will be equal responsibility for your action. Otherwise, if you're still both young (and he's 6 years younger than you), your parents perhaps would like you to be more responsible for your brother, set a good example, and make yourself more mature.
