most over-rated novel.

just finished the Da Vinci Code, why all the hype, why did the Vatican get all upset about it, as historical novels go, it doesn't rate anywhere near a Mitchner, it was badly research, badly written and at the end of the book I felt ripped-off, it was nothing more than a disguised sloppy love story, I found Monty Python's "Life of Brian" and "In Search of the Holy Grail" closer to the trueth than this drivel, more like a Clive Cussler novel than a serious historical novel, nowhere near the talents of Leon Uris, Mitchener and James Clavel.
