Fear of crime?

Are you afraid when walking home alone at night? Just a quick poll to see what people's major opinions are. If you could explain why you are/aren't, it'd be nice too :)

If its really dark lonely and there a group of sinister people around or drunks then it gets awkward. I'm a guy though and have never been mugged so far. I'm sure the situation is different for girls.
