What is the most spectacular place you have ever visited and why?

Borobudur in Indonesia - Borobudur is a ninth century Buddhist Mahayana monument in Central Java, Indonesia. The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.[1] A main dome is located at the center of the top platform. It is surrounded by seventy-two perforated stupas, each containing one sitting Buddha statue.

I recently came back from Indonesia, and was really lucky to visit the temple of Borobudur (see the pic I took attached). It was a completely amazing experience. You could feel the history and spirit within the rocks of this great masterpiece. I was so impressed with this (one of the modern 7 wonder of the world) that I think I wanna visit the other 6 modern wonders. I don't think we really understand and appreciate how lucky we are to witness these magnificent works... Borobudur is sculpted entirely from lava (there are quite a few volcanoes in the area, and one is still imminent to erupt (you may have seen this on the news a few months ago)) and you can feel the heat coming from the structure as the sun impails the temple with it's heat. Hard work getting to the top in such heat, but so worth it. So, where have you been that blew you away and why?

Wow I am sooo jealous!! haha. Those views are spectacular. I always wanted to see a river running through the trees like that one. It's really like the set from Lord of the Rings!! Thanks for sharing that site and those pics with us, I really appreciate it. Love and light.

May be I will sound cheesy but I would answer My Heart, to anybody who would ask me this question. Discovering how much I love my family, baby and husband, my friends, or life in general is a daily experience and this is definitely the most beautiful place in the world to me :)

Banaue Rice Terraces - Banaue Rice Terraces upclose
My country philippines have lots of tourist spot with rich cultural story but what really amaze is the creation of banaue rice terraces a place that classfied as one of the wonders of the world. Banaue rice terraces is a mountain that was handcrafted design by native many years ago to be a rice field because of the scarcity of the land to cultivate. It has been calculated that the Ifugao rice terraces, if strung end to end, would reach 14,000 miles, or halfway around the world. It was one of the magnificient place I visited in my country.
