The Vitruvian Man is a world renowned drawing with accompanying notes created by Leonardo da Vinci around the year 1492 as recorded in one of his journals. It depicts a nude male figure in two superimposed positions with his arms and legs apart and simultaneously inscribed in a circle and square. The drawing and text are sometimes called the Canon of Proportions or, less often, Proportions of Man. It is on display in the Gallerie dell' Accademia in Venice, Italy.
i guess u all know that ...
question is do u ever give a damn to these pictures created by legends like Da Vinci...

In the notes accompanying Da Vinci's drawing he gives what can be described as the 'ideal' proportions for the human body. For eg a palm is the width of four figers and the height of a man should be 24 palms. He's obviously spent a lot of time researching this. If you're interested in art and want to create beautiful, symetric human figures then his guidelines are invaluable. Alternatively you can check out if you match the proportions laid down by him if you are curious about whether you have that irresistable 'classical sculpture' or 'Roman God'look ;)
