Who took care of you when you were young?

I remember my childhood days. When I was that very young, my grandmother took care of me. Well, my mom and dad do but mostly they were at work all day and it was my grandmother who was always left at home with me. I'm closer to her than to any nannies I had before. She was the one who will always wake me up early morning, prepare my breakfast, bath me and even drop me off to school. Well, it's kinda obvious. I just miss her. She passed away when I was 14. Did your grandmother took care of you too when you were young?

When I was young my grandmother and grandfather took care of me because my mom went to the states. And my father no longer living in this world. So I was left behind in the Philippines. And my grandmother and grandfather took care of me until now. And mom is still working somewhere in the United States.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Anyway, I'm still glad your grandparents were able to take care of you. Based on experience, if grandparents live with you when you grow up, there is a tendency that they are more bonded or closer to their grandchildren than their own children. I don't know how would that explain. What i'm pretty sure is they have also learned to love us like their very own children.

It's ok. I know that my dad is happy wherever he is right now. And I know that his looking after me everyday. I totally agree. But the sad thing is that I'm not close to my mom. I love my mom but not as I love my grandparents. :D

My grandmother took care of me since birth. I was conceived by my mother at age 18 and she let my parents do schooling and support them. I have been into my grandmother cares' until the time she finished schooling already. I love my grandmother so much, I have so many nannies before but she took time of her own just to accompany and take good care of me and raised me as well. I think I will never forget my grandmother for what she had done for me.

That is so sweet of her. That makes me remember how sweet my grandmother too back then. If only she's still alive, I would also let her know that I would never forget all her sacrifices, smiles, love, touch and care for me.

When I was growing up my Grandma (Dad's Mom) lived on the other side of our 2 family house. My parents had a dairy farm and were always working in the barns or fields and my Grandmother would watch me and my brother. I have many fond memories of those precious moments with Grandma, and we had a wonderful bond throughout her life with her.

Same here. I had also several treasured moments with her too. Though we fought a lot of times, I still consider her as one of the great grandmas in the whole. ANd i still owe her a superb and heartfelt "thank you" for taking care of me when I was young. If given a chance to see her again, I really would.

She sure did :-) When I were very young, then I started in Kindergarden.

My grandparents raised me mostly. My mom was usually too busy to take care of me when I was little.
