Dravid completes 10,000 One-day runs

Congrtulations to Dravid for completing 10,000 ond day runs. He is world class player who has performed very consistently for India over the years with the bat. I hope he continues his good form into the world cup and hopefully lead India to world cup glory.

Hi, I think his achievement is more significant than by lara, tendulkar, ganguly, inzamam and jayasurya for the following reasons. Others have scored these runs coming in the opening slot or one down, but our man has scored the runs coming anywhere in the batting order. Others are natural big hitters. But our man has achieved this honour with his workmanlike innings everytime he comes to bat, although not as much a big hitter as others. Others played continuously without getting dropped till they achieved this milestone. But our man has achieved this after getting dropped for sometime from the odi squad for apparant slow scoring. Other have seldom wicket kept. But our man kept wickets and also held on to his batting to achieve this. Incidentally wicket keeping is the toughest fielding position, you will have to maintain constant vigil, bend and straighten 300 times in every match and run to the stumps whenever the batsman hits the ball. After doing all this, you come in as a batsman and scores means.....simply great man. All the others have been reprimanded by ICC for one reason or another except probably jayasurya. But our man has maintained a clean slate so far in his career. Quite awesome. In spite of all the above, he has scored his runs in almost the same number of innings as his predecessors, Unbelievable. I wish him good luck and happy hunting in the present world cup. Keep it up Dravid, we are with you. Thanks.

Dravid is one of the wonderful personalities, the cricket has ever produced. To achieve this landmark, he maintained his batting style with perfection irrespective of, almost in every position in the batting lineup. Once upon a time, he has been a question mark for ODI's, but now hardly no-one can think of it anymore! He has proved that he is different from Sachin/Sourav as they scored most of their runs in the opening slots.
