Sorry you have to pardon my ignorance but which charity is this for?? Is it cancer?? Or heart perhaps???
I have never participated in a walk or run for a charity but I know when I see them covering one on the news people seem to be enjoying themselves. Great way to raise money. Good for you for getting involved and doing such a good thing.

Yes, it's for Cancer. It's through the Canadian Cancer Soceity. If you go to www.cancer.ca and select your province there will be a link for the Relay there. Basically, it's an all-night relay race. As a team captain, I will gather 9 other people for my team. Runs from 6pm to 6am and someone from your team should be on the track at all times. It's tough, but a lot of fun! Last year I walked the equivalent in laps of 25km in the 12 hour span and my team alone raised over $1,000. I will be a team captain again this year! :)

I myself am not a cancer survivor, nor have I had the misfortune of "dealing" with a family member with cancer, so I have not participated yet though this year (in NC, USA) I am planning on attending one. It isn't until May, but it's on my calendar. The overnight event seems like an awful lot of fun. I plan on taking lots of photos and hopefully the local newspaper will be interested in buying a few of them! I have two older friends who have asked me to take the photos, and they are cancer survivors. It's just a great way to participate in the fundraising for cancer research/
