in some of the cases WINDOWS is better and in some of the cases LINUX is better ....... WINDOWS is a user friendly system but LINUX not much . but for programming purpose LINUX is the best . if u see overall then LINUX will be the best because in this system all the work is fast .....

both have different thing great.. Windows - at home or for purpose of entertainment like watching movie,games also take smaller memory to install etc.. Linux - for programming or technical uses , it is better. but it takes generously larger memory to install.

windows.. because its more user friendly and theres a lot of software avaliable for it...

now the windows xp is the best systems.microsoft new systems vista is used much memory ,and has the largest change in the microsoft.but it used much memory,it's cound used well.now the linux has the fast develop,and it 's will get better than windows.if you want to use a system for a server pc ,unix or linux is the best choice.

I think, if you are going to use for your computer as entertainment hub at your home then WINDOWS is the best! because at this time there are many softwares available for windows than LINUX but if you are going to use your computer for some office work or for some projects n all that then LINUX is the best. SO IT IS UP TO YOU THAT FOR WHAT TYPE OF TASK you are PERFORMING ON YOUR COMPUTER Well, I am using WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL as i am using my pc for entertainment.

If you want compatibility with others softwares, use Windows. If you don't virus, use Linux
