I am teaching an on-line course this semester and was interested in anyone's opinion of them. Do you like taking on-line courses? What do you like about them? What do you hate about them? What are some things you suggest I do to create a successful learning environment for my students? What are some things I should avoid doing? All comments are welcome.

I am currently doing my masters online. I love online classes. They are convenient, I can attend from the comfort of my home and I don't have to go sit in a class for 2 or 3 hours. What type of course are you teaching and what age group? This is important when coming up with a creative learning environment.

I am teaching a non-majors general biology course completely on-line meaning they do their labs at home. Its for a community college. This course is a general requirement for students, meaning I have students of all majors in my class. Ages range from high school to returning students.
