I prefer Richard over Kurt Russell. Kurt was more serious in his portrayal of Jack. He was more of the military man. Richard brought wit, a dry sense of humor to the show. You just gotta love him!

I prefer the Jack O'Neill played by Richard Dean Anderson, aka MacGyver. Richard is a good actor in any series. The other guy who played the role of Jack O'Neill in the original movie,(can't remember his name) is a very good actor in movies.

It was a shame for me to not watch Stargate up until this year. I downloaded all the episodes and I fisrt watched the first 5-6 seasons of SG-1, then I watched the movie. For me RDA is way better than Kurt Russel.
