Is world is becoming internet addict?

I see lot of websites,portal and many web application on internet.I got a sence that world is becoming internet addict. Is it true or not?

Yes thats true.But it has its own advantages as well as drawbacks also.. Like any othe technology internet should be used with utter responsiblity. Again no body owns internet so its sole responsibility.
