I would recommend maybe a guinea pig or rabbit if you dont mind cleaning a cage on a regular basis. Or perhaps a kitten?

i rent a house from my dad. he's a grump when it comes to animals. he doens't want any dogs or cats running around. i kind of need something in a cage. people who used to live here before i moved in had a dog and a cat so i don't see the big deal but he made me give my kitten away when i moved in here.

Well first of all have you asked HER what kind of pet she wants? My son loves cats unfortunately my boyfriend (his father) hates them. He'd love a dog but we can't have dogs at our apartment. Getting her a kitten might be a good pet, if you're thinking of getting a dog make sure it's good around kids because some breeds just aren't meant for little kids. And when all else fails, there's always goldfish! :)

yes she wants a cat. but i'm not allowed to have a cat in the house i rent. or dogs either. i rent from my father so when he comes over he'd know if i had one so it's not like i can hide anything. i have to follow the rules.

I had a hamster and it was brilliant. put it in teh cage and you dont need to worry about it. they're not messy or expensive but really great fun. you build mazes for them and they dont live for too long - like cats, they live til they're 20 or something!

I would recommend something small. I tried a hermit crab with my son when he was three but, unfortantely for the hermit crab my son wanted himt o come out and play. And he pulled its claws off!!! So the next pet I tried was a hamster. which worked out great because they have all kinds of tunnels you can buy for them and those little balls that you can put them in to run around and play in. And they are fun to watch. I wouldn't recomend a cat because they do scratch when cuddled to tightly.A dog would be good because they are quite active but, then yo would have to walk it. And from what I read you can't have a dog or cat anyway. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

My kids also had a rabbit when they were younger. Depending on what type of rabbit there is not much maintnance involved. My favorite is the dwarf rabbit. Another good pet would be a guinea pig. I think they are cute and fun. Another pet I think she can enjoy is a bird mabie like a paratkeet or a finch. She can probably can handle a tammed paratkeet. Finches are really fun to watch. Good luck on finding your new pet. Pets are alot of fun!!!
