Why does yoour hair turn gray

it is from our genes-some people have no grey hair-other have grey hair and other loose their hair-however stress is a factor that makes the condition worse and makes hair grey earlier

Both or either of the two you mentioned. Graying of hair is either genetic/hereditary or due to frequent/strong hair coloring or chemical treatment, or both. If the parents (or one of them) and/or close relatives show early signs of hair graying, then there is a great possibility for one to have them, too. Frequent and very strong hair treatment especially perming, straightening, or hair coloring would damage the hair and discolor it. Such thing happened to my hair. Too bad!

It is my opinion that each of our unique makeup of genes, chemicals, and environment helps the process of body changes that take place such as our hair turning gray. In my case I think I'm just getting old, I mean older. If I happen to come across scientific reasons on the internet I'll let you know.

I wish I knew. My hair started turning gray when I was in my 20's. I have to highlight it once a month to keep the gray out. I feel depressed when I see the gray hair coming out and feel better when I get it high lighted.
