Non-Indians-Do use lentil?

I am always very curious about this do you guys use lentil in your cooking. We use lentil every day. It is very important part of our food. everyday food. If you use it then in what form and how?

I love to make my own homemade soups and one of my favorite is lentil soup. I usually cook it up in my slowcooker with green lentils,onions,fresh garlic, celery,bacon,tomatoes, herbs & spices. I serve it with sour cream and grated cheddar cheese. We usually have it at least once a month.

I like lentils, I put them in my soups and my stews. They cook quick and make the stews thicker. They are also very good to eat.
