What is your favorite video game of all time?

So what is your favorite video game of all time, and by all time, I mean going as far back as pong to weed out the game you could play a million times and never get sick of. My favorite was the original Zelda. I could play that game all day long. My mother had to pry it out of my hands sometimes. It was great! That's why I still gave a ninteno system...for the original experience.

This is tough. I might have to say, Dr. Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine. It's basically an amped version of Tetris. But my friend and I used to play it in college for HOURS. I'm actually surprised I graduated. People would always know we were playing because we would be yelling about how the beans were so cruel! Sadly my old Sega Genesis, dosen't seem to want to work anymore.

Yeah, I once saw an old X-Box die right before my eyes. I know the systems aren't meant to last forever (though I have seem people who still have original Nintendos taht still work, AMAZING), but it is still such a bummer because you still have all the games and stuff that are now kinda worthless. Thankfully, this guy had the new X-box 360 so some of his games are still good.

I agree that it is one of the saddest things in the world to watch an old console die. They've become like friends to you, maybe even family. At the height of your obsession with any game, it may be the only one that sees or hears from you for days. You share those moments no one else sees, like when you go into a blind rage over losing a game or when you give up and cry because a particulr hard part of the game didn't save. Burying a console can sometimes be as painful as burying a small family pet.

in cassette games i like contra. infact i am once addicted to it. i wud play it whole day. completing once starting again.

I know you said favorite of all time, but i have soo many number one favorites...(if that makes sense) First of all, for Nintendo it would have to be a tie between Super Mario Brothers(the first one) and Contra! Playstation(1) it would deffinitly have to be Metal Gear Solid. Then for Xbox it has to be Halo 2. And for PS2 Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2 have got to be the best ones of all time!!!

Call of Duty 3 or Halo 2. If sports games are to his liking, any Madden game would do. Or maybe your significant other enjoys role-playing games (RPG). If so, get him a Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, or any other Final Fantasy game after 7, except for IV, all of them for the Playstation 2.

My favorite video game of all time would have to be Mario Party 3. I used to play it for hours with a friend in college. Seriously, we had three day marathons. I might even love playing it more now because I can beat my gamer boyfriend at it. I pretty much destroy him and then laugh when he turns to me and says "I haaaate this game." Come on now, if that were true, would he still be willing to play it with me? I think he might be caught up int eh fun as much as I am.
A close second would have to Mario Kart. I think I like that because you can knock out the other players with some really fun items.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game was so ahead of its time, so addictive and truly the greatest game I have ever played. I might get my N64 out and play it sometime, but I'm hooked on Pro Evo atm.

I would definitely have to say Tomb Raider. I love all the series from regular playstation and PS2. I played for two days straight without sleep once because I was SO addicted! They are so fun and I love the suspense and puzzle solving aspects of them. My husband and I have PS2, regular Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and Super Nintendo. I'm a freak and love video games!!! My mom use to say it would poison my brain! :)
