k might be a stupid question and an embarassing one too but what do you use to bleach hair. i'm not using it to bleach my entire hair just to hide a few hairs in some not pretty places for a girl. do you know what i can use.

it depends on what you want to bleach. 'Just to hide a few hairs...' sounds like you want to lighten up some body hair. If this is the case, you can get cream bleach from the supermarket, chemists or beauty stores. this works well and isn't too expensive. But if you're talking about head hair-definitely go to the hair dressers! I too have had a terrible experience with bleach. I ended up looking like an orange! Even if it does turn out a nice colour, you'll have to re-bleach your roots when they grow back and you'll never get a colour match for the rest of your hair!

I agree, I bleached my own hair and it turned out somewhat orange. I did it again with a home kit and it came out looking great. But to hide my roots I colored it too often and my hair actually started breaking off mid way on the strand. I'm still trying to grow out the broken hairs.

Right my first piece advice is go to a hair salon because it is hard. First off you need to use profession bleaching powder and creme peroxide (probably 40vol) and leave it on for about half an hour. you hair will go0 red first and then orange and then yellow. if after half an hour it is still not light enough wipe it off and apply a fresh mix of the stuff for about 20 mins. Your hair will be yellow at this point. Now you need to add a ash blonde to the hair. the ash in it will cover the slight ginger tinge you will have going on. Its all to do with a colour wheel. I really really do recommend going to a salon and just getting some highlights becasue if it goes wrong your hair could FALL OUT. no joke.

yeah it can fall out and 40 vol?(proxide) is the strongest out there so you may not need to use it esspecialy if yo dont know what your doing! you will also need something to cover it (toner) but jst depends on how yor hair pulls. i rearly have to use a toner on my hair or my clients! you are better off going to a salon. look for a local jcpenney salon, or some were like that the prices are normaly very good!
