chicken Taco's or Peas... what would your children choose?

Ok, so today, my 8yr old & 10 yr old seem to be in a "mood." For lunch they were offered, chicken tacos. I was all prepared to make them, and they began to moan... and grumble. So I said, rather simply, while looking into the freezer, "well my darlings, I haven't been to the grocery store yet, so it's either chicken taco's or this bag of peas... what do you want."
Do you know they PICKED THE BAG OF PEAS! JOYFULLY. Thanking me. they said they were so greatful, peas are a favorite of theirs.
???
dang it all I needed those peas for a recipe...
Well, chicken tacos for lunch tomorrow I guess....
hmmm
what would your kids have done? I think mine must have been reading about reverse psychology somewhere... ?

my 3 year old daughter would definately choose peas. it's her favorite food. if she doens't want to eat anything or make makeup her mind that's what she has. she went through a faze when she was 18 months or so where all she ate for 2 weeks were peas.

That is hilarious! And so normal for 2, 3, or 4 years olds... I love it...
It's just so odd when it's a 10 and 8 year old! :)

My 3 yr old would definitely choose the peas although he would take brocolli or greens above and beyond anything. My son is strange for his age eveyone says. He doesn't like candy or sweets and he LOVES veggies. He is a good eater so I cannot complain.

really the peas? My girlfrieds girl loves frozen tiny vegies, like frozen peas... the toddler is just past 2, and she'll go to the freezer and get a bag and just start munching!

I would love it if my kids would choose peas. They are so much cheaper than chicken tacos.
It sonds like your kids have a taste for healthy foods. I hope they keep on that forever.

My daughter would have probably chosen the peas. N ot that she doesn't like chicken tacos, she just loves peas! They're her favorite vegetable. Sounds like you've taught your kids how to appreciate their vegetables. :)

Really? You think I've taught them well how to enjoy vegies. I think I like yOU! I was thinking they picked it because it wasn't chicken taco's. :)

Can't speak for all my kids but the only one still at home would either scrape change from the sofa to go to McDonalds or would go hungry. I tried chicken burritos on him one time and he was digging in the sofa.
