Preventing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome At Work Carpal tunnel syndrome is an overuse injury that often occurs while
doing repetitive work. There are some things you can do to help prevent this condition from occurring. If you have a job where you perform the same actions repetitively, be sure to take frequent breaks and try to rotate through different tasks as often as possible. The use of a simple over-the-counter wrist splint may also be helpful.
They can be found in most chemists/drug stores as they are called in America If you have any symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, see your physician for further evaluation and
to discuss treatment options.

A good friend of mine had carpal tunnel syndrome. They ended up doing surgery and she was worse afterwards than she was before. I have tendonitis which is similar and something else I found helpful was light weight training - you'd be amazed what lifting a can of soup for ten minutes can do to build your hand and arm muscles.
