If a person told you that they would give a positive rating to you would you be more likely to respons to their discussion rather than someone that doesn't tell you that. I think that it might sway what people think and it just might make someone more likely to respond. What do you think?

Personally I don't care if I get a plus or not when I resond to a discussion. I feel it doesn't really matter they can tell you that they will give you a plus rating but if you answer honestly how you feel about their topic they will either not respond at all or give you a negative. Sad...lol shrugs so doesn't matter to me either way.

I can understand what you are saying. It shouldn't make a difference. I enjoy being able to add content to a discussion, or create new discussions. Thnaks for the comment.

The person is saying he/she will rate or don't say can't affect my motivation to respond to one discussion. Personally I want to give response to those discussions which catch my interests and where I can put some good informative or worthy words. If you can maintain to post good responses you don't have to worry for rating.

I agree, some times it is just about what type of content you can give to the discussion.

It may sway some people to respond to one discussion over another, but it is against the rules here to try to lure people with the promise of positive ratings. It very well may get you in trouble. Your discussion could be removed or you could get banned. It is best to respond to discussions that are relevant to you and to which you can make a nice contribution. If you do that, the earnings will take care of themselves.

Great points! But you and I both know that there are people that don't always follow the rules. Thank you so much for the comment.

I usually just read the topics and if I can respond with a suitable answer then I will post a response regardless of the ratings. Some people say they will rate you, yet when I have gone back and checked on their topics I have found they have not even picked a best response. They may not even have bothered to read any of the responses. I think some people promise these things just so that they will get more response.

Ok, I never knew there was a difference in responding. So, if you get a positive rating with your response you get more points or what?????? I guess I would fall into the category that responds no matter what then lol Toni

Actually I don't think it gives you more points, but if you get more responses I would think you could stand to make more on mylot.

Aww again. For my part, I post responses for discussions that take my attention and interest. Never will it be for the rating. We cannot discount the fact though, that there are some who finds it more important to be marked positive and they get elated if their responses are always chosen to be the best one. But bear in mind, that this does not hold true to everyone.

I agree with you on that, but I just wonder if someone said " hey, I will give you a positive rating" they would get a lot of posts. I respond to the discussions that are interesting to me, or ones I relate with so I agree with you on that. Thanks for the response.
