I guess these showbiz people should prove their worth in our country. All people have their right to enter politics and serve our countrymen. The question is are they really up to helping or just wanting to be part of the corruption?

Well, some celebrities do it very well, such as Ronald Reagan, the president of the U.S. in the 80's who served 8 years in office. He was overwhelmingly a good and popular president. In fact, he enjoyed the highest approval ratings ever, since people started monitoring that statistic. Not everyone liked him, because who likes everybody? But the majority of the country did. For the most part, I say celebs should stay away from politics. They have little background from which to speak on very important issues, and they think their views are the most important in the world. You see that in LA and New York. But I have news for those celebs. There are 48 other states who don't go the way of the latest fad.

Actually we can't generalize them. Some are also capable and have talents to lead our country. It just happen that they choose first to the celebrity world. They somehow use it for gaining popularity and won the election. But for others, most of them I think are not capable. They use the popularity of their name though they don't have the capability to lead our country. At the end it is our choice, the voters to select and wise votely.

NO. they only have charisma to attract the public and garner votes and they do not have capabilities to administer. tell me any one celibrity who has received accolades for being a good politician? The politicians need vote bank and for this they use these rich and famous celebrities only to charm the public and attract people. ultimately some celebrities end up into politics.

you from the Philippines? lol. so many celebrities are entering politics here. it's like, they're using their celebrity status to gain the attention they need so they can start their political careers. a stepping stone, i should say. i'm not really all for it. there are celebrities that are intelligent and i know they mean well, but most of them haven't really accomplished anything. it's hard to believe that they would have something to offer besides entertainment. and plus, i don't like the fact that they're taking advantage of their popularity to win votes. it's just not right.

Celebrities can enter politics but that doesn't mean they're capable of handling politics. We have a lot of celebrity-politicians in my home country and they're worthless. I politician should be dedicated to their jobs of serving their people and yet they have sidelines like making movies, commercials, endorsements, guest appearances..etc. It's as if being a politician is just a hobby for them. There's also the "trapo" or traditional politicians. They're making politics into a family business.
