Number of responders affect earnings?

Hi,
Beside the quality of discussion, is tne number of responders that reply to a discussion(that we have started) affect our earnings?

I tend to believe that it is so. That will mean that you have offered a very interesting area for discussion if you get so many responses for a topic you have opened up.
