what good deed have you done today?

it would be nice if everyone made a consious effort to do at least one good deed each day, to be active at becoming charitable, rather than being a "good" person who is indifferent to the inequities in this world. i admit i am guilty of the latter too. so i'm going to try this. share you're good deeds too and be an inspiration to people like me :-) btw, there's no fix criteria for what constitutes a good deed, even the little things count :-) i'm going to look for my old clothes that i don't wear anymore and give it to those who need it more than i do, and who would appreciate the clothes more.

I love this idea, think it's great. I do try to do something to bring joy to someone else each day. Today it was spreading V-day cheer to lots of folks over at mypace. I know, that I like to get comments, brightens up my day, so today I spent the day sending them. :D

it's always nice to be remembered, i'm sure you're friends appreciated the gesture. being able to make at least one person smile is already a laudable effort :-)

i think i haven't done a good deed yet because my day is just starting but i hope i'll do one. it's a great feeling to help others and i wish i could do good deeds each day of my life even when people doesn't notice it 'cause i know God does

yeah, we should do good deeds not for the recognition we'll get but because we truly want to help. the world needs more people like you :-)

My good deed for today was helping my neighbor shovel her driveway and get the ice off of her cars. I also helped her get out of her house since her screen door was frozen shut and had to use my deicer to clear the door of the ice. I also provided my other neighbor with material from my neighborhood meeting from a couple weeks ago. I try and help my neighbors, friends and family whenever I can.

I gave my mom rather thoughtful and creative birthday gifts. Does that count? I'm glad that she liked them. We also invited one of my best friends to dinner with us because she just lost her aunt, who she was close to. We wanted to cheer her up.

Well I'm not sure it was really a good deed, but when I was walking home from work tonight, an old lady stopped me, and asked directions to the bus stop. She was quite far away from the nearest one, and it was difficult to explain directions to her, as she was little confused, and didn't speak English so well, so I walked out of my way to take her to the nearest bus stop, and then waited for the bus wth her! Oh, and I even carried her shopping for her!

Unfortunately my last good deed resulted in a very unpleasant incident. However, I do try to take donations to charity shops rather than just throw things away. I try to put a few spare pennies into charity collections when I can afford to. I like to hope that I can do good deeds where I can.
