My Valentines Day Rant...........

First of i hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day. I love this day because its a day that people get reminded of how special they are if its nothing but a card. my husband knew when we started out as friends in a yahoo chat room over a year ago that this and every other holiday is important to me. he also knew the relationship i was in at the time was a verbal abusive one and that the guy didnt never get me anything for any holiday the last 6 years we was together and knew how it hurt me. On our first valentines together(i had moved to michigan to be with him) he got me a beautiful red rose which really meant alot to me. on my birthday we was apart because i had to move back to north carolina for child custody matter so we missed being together on that day. but soon after that he moved here to join me. we got married last June and for Christmas he made sure my kids had a great Christmas which was the only thing i asked for so that made me really happy plus he got me a beautiful heart emerald and diamond ring. but today i was totally shocked. as for today i got him a card because he is so hard to by for lol. but i was really shocked and hurt when i found out i got nothing not a card or even one ran off he computer (which he is always on when hes not working). im not a materialistic person and the smallest things would make me happy. he didnt even say Happy Valentines Day till 9:00 tonight when he got home and that was because i said it first.im not real big on showing my feelings so i havent said anything to him. dont get me wrong hes a real sweet person and i love him to death and i know he loves me i just dont understand it. my question to the women is am i being silly for feeling this way?have you ever had to go threw something like this and if so how did you handle it? for the men have you ever not gotten the woman in your life anything and if not why? all advice is appreciated
