what is so special about reaching target of $10 in orkut?what happens next?

i have started discussions on mylot and im new to this site i find lot of people worriwd for first $10 whats so special about that and what after earning this payment is there any change after achiving this amount what if we spend this $10 through e-bay do we need to earn it again or is it just one time
