I have noticed this before but after days of using it, it would move again. I mean the speedometer is not responding right now...even if I drove it back and forth. I rarely use it because it uses too much gas...I'm used of my Acura Integra(4 cylinder only!). Last night, I drove it and still the speedometer is not moving at all. I already told my boyfriend about it and he said that maybe I'm hallucinating. Haha! By the way, the Chevy is on my place since he's working in the ship right now. I don't have enough money to send it to a repair shop and it's also not mine anyway, lol. I would like to but I want him to give me permission and money too(of course!). I just don't want it to get worst!
Any advice?!?

What year is it? Do you know if the speedometer is electrically or mechanically controlled?

It's 2004.
I have no idea if it's electrically or mechanically controlled.
Help please!

I am not surprised. I have seen many Chevy vehicles have problems with the speedometer. My husband loves Chevrolet's and it seems every one of them had something going on. One made a squeaking noise, one never went under 10 MPH (even sitting still), one never worked, and one constantly bounced, so you never new how fast you were really going.
He now has a surburban, and he has had to change the speedometer cable to make it work. It messed up after a weekend trip on the beach at Cape Hatteras, NC. Maybe it was all the bouncing around on the sand, who knows?

That sucks! That's why I prefer Japanese cars.
Thanks for responding!
