What Bible do you use?

I have several versions of the Bible. I have a King James version which I use to memorize Bible texts because that is what I used when I was a kid. I like to read the NIV and another version called the Clear Word Bible put out by the Seventh-day Adventist church. I was just introduced to a new version called 'The Message' Bible. I too have used the Parallel Bible for comparing versions. It helps when you I don't understand a text or need to have a modern translation of a text. I have also used the New Living Translation online. I think that is what it is called. It also uses modern English.

The majority of the time I use the NIV but I also have King James and New Living Bibles. When I'm doing bible studies I like to look at the different versions and compare. I also have a software program eSword you can download for free and then download a whole bunch of different versions and compare them.

I am now using the translations that I have published - THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English) translated from THE GREEK NEW TESTAMENT, Fourth Revised Edition, with the permission of the German Bible Society. I have published other books. I have just published also GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English) which is translation from the Septuagint translated from the Hebrew language in about 270 B.C. by 70 Israelite elders in Alexandria, Egypt. God used the Hebrew language to write the Old Testament while He used the Greek language for the New Testament. This book is simple, beautiful, easily understood, and a translation that relays the true Word of God. It is in the form of prose to make the reading easy and interesting. God is mostly the one speaking in this book where our basic knowledge of everything in our life originated. Greek words are translated simply into their corresponding English word-equivalents. Transliterations are indicated in bold letters while additional words especially for grammar purposes are written in italics. Names of persons retain their Greek spelling in the nominative case. I love the amplified version. It really expounds on GOD's Word. The words used in the amplified bible are rich and beautiful. The amplified bible expresses God's Word in such a phenomenal way that touches my heart. It just makes me fall in love with the Word of God all over againg each time I read it.

Another good book when your having trouble explaining verses to people is a womens devotional Bible.I dont understand the Kin James Version so my step mom bought me this one.The words are easier to read and understand.

I have the NIrV Study Bible - the New International Reader's Version. It's basically even clearer English than the NIV. Sometimes it's a bit too simple, but I like it, and the notes at the sides and before each chapter are very helpful and informative.
