I think that it will take at least 30 years before India becomes a developed country (let alone a superpower). I think that India's GDP is still smaller than Belgium's and belgium only has 20 million people.
The top part of India is doing very well, but the poor in India are poorer than the poor in Africa. Until the poor are wealthier, your GDP won't rise enough. You can be a superpower until your poor are richer than other countries middle classes.

i am sure about that our country india will turn out to be one of developed country of the world may be more powerfull than others.... it will lead in every sphere like- I.T , infrastucture,Technology, Economic and much more..I think in the up coming ten years the corruption in all fields will end as people of india are getting aware about all these things.....

I believe India is a up and coming superpower. They have a well educated work force. And India is a leader in technology.
One problem I see is the amount of people who still do farm work. I think I saw somewhere that over half the population works in farm related fields.
As the farm technology makes farming more efficient, there won't be a great need for so many farmers.
The probem will be how you integrate the excess worker into your growing high tech industries.

I'm not sure corruption and cheap politics are definitive to industrial, cultural, economical or social development, as far as i can see those are everywhere, 1st. world, 3rd. world, they are not the issue to development or undevelopment, they could delay or obstruct some processes, like in Japan, but they're always on the processes, and corruptoin is where money and favors is, look at Enron situation.

i think you are a good positive thinker and you are interpreting the good and the realistic
and i feel that if not the 3 or 4 th position india is going to be on the top 5 list even in every aspects and this is of sure
and not only in the terms of the not only in a particular field like the technology but also in many of the fields

India is growing but it's growth has been visible more among the middle class categories. The growth has not really been visible in the rural sectors. I think that's one concern.
You rightly said expressed concern about the corruption. As long as people fail to weed out corruption we would have a hard time catching up the the developed world.
3rd biggest economy or 3rd most powerful nation on the earth? I think ten years is too little. And with the kind of value system, I would be little pessimistic about seeing India as the 3rd most powerful nation in ten years time.
