We do have a pet dog. I actually prefer dogs. Perhaps because we were raised with a dog and not a cat. I have owned cats before, and I just didn't like how they thought they owned everything, and could jump anywhere they wanted. In our house, we say, "dogs rule and cats drool!!" :-)

That's a hard choice for me, as they equally have attributes that I love, I love the independence and agility of the cat but love the cuddly, clingy personality of the dog. The dog I had would love spending all his time with me if he could and the cat I had well if she wanted to hang out with you she would but if she didn't there was no way of you trying to convince her, she'd love her outings and come back when she'd want to. Although I know some dogs and cats have the opposite personalities to what they tend to be like. When it comes to choosing well I think no matter what I choose I'll always miss something from one or another. Right now however I'm planing on getting a male cat in a few months time.

Well I have three so I definnitely prefer cats to dogs. I like dogs, but they are a lot more work than a cat. And with being gone all day a dog usually gets so lonely. But cats are much more independent than that. And you can also leave a cat for a few days and they are just fine. So I guess cats are just easier and definitely more entertaining than dogs.

We own both a cat and a dog, so I would have to say I like them both the same.
