I haven't been keeping up with the show this season, but I heard that one of the major characters was going to be dealing with HIV in some way. I think that it's a great thing, if the writers of the show have sound medical advisors and it is portrayed accurately. It's a wonderful way to target a specific audience and get them to think about what they are doing in real life and how easy it is to become a victim of HIV. It is a good way to get the HIV education and prevention message out there in the public and to make more people aware. I'm all for anything at all that may help to slow down the spread of HIV. Although this was designed to make the show interesting and to boost ratings, it is also a good chance for the producers to do some public service!

That episode was really pretty amazing. I think that it was a really great idea to throw the whole AIDs thing in there. It will help raise awareness a little bit and it actually makes me want to watch it week to week to see if she actually did get AIDs or not. Have they announced if she really got it or not yet?

I think it is an interesting storyline and know that it will take awhile for it to develop since it takes awhile for one to find out whether they have HIV. However, I'm not sure I like that it happened to Stella. She has been through enough having shot her ex-boyfriend and probably still recovering from that trauma. If Lindsay hadn't disappeared due to the actor's maternity leave, it would be a good storyline for her as she hasn't had a major issue as yet. I know you might say that she has an issue with witnessing the killing of her friends, but that occurred in her past, not on the show. I think Stella has had enough to go through this year.
