its high time that the selectors and the managing committee of BCCI should think the way to revive the team spirit of the team, which was once the backbone of India .. that had fetched them to fight till the end as it was in the time of John Wright ..what do u think?

in my point of view it depends upon the final result of world cup 2007. as per rule and regulations, his term is over after world cup but if team india clinchs the title, it may be possible that he may be reinstated again for coach. although he has tried his level best to boost up players and make them disciplined but due to his sensational statement he is infamous and that is why he is slapped in Orissa at airport. so our main motive should be how indian played well. Chappell dismissal is secondary issue.

I have mixed feeling on this issue. As coach greg chappell promised a lot but has delivered little. In his tenure indian fielding hasn't improved and has stagnated and in upcoming world cup it will be our sore point. Then he bet on the wrong horses like raina with result now we have very few new faces and have had little time or chance for more worthy players to play for India. Then his row with ganguly affected moral and team spirit of Indian side which he should have avoided.
I feel he has done some good things too. Like Yuvraj and Dhoni have become world class one day players helping India to stet world recored of chasingf tagets. And series win over westindies. He and Ian frazier have been helping players iron the flaws in their game like with sachin after disastrous one dayers.
So i feel it all depends on how indian team fares at world cup if India does well he should continue otherwise we shold look for alternatives. But at end of the day it is players who have perform.
