My oldest son was born with a CHD called Tetralogy of follot and when he was 11 months old they had to go and do a open heart surgery on him to repair the hole that was in his heart. Coming up soon he is having to have another open heart surgery to replace the valve because it leaks and his heart is slightly enlarged. It scares me to death, A bunch of other parents and I are trying to get CHD (congenital heart defects) known more. One out of every 100 babies are born with a CHD and they are the #1 cause of infant death in the united states alone. So we are trying to get the awareness out there. There are alot of organizations out there that you can donate money to to get more research done on it. Can you believe that Childhood Cancer has more money and yet CHD is the #1 Cause, it dont seem very fair and i think that more people should do more for CHD Awareness to get it more known out there. Some people i know didn't even know what CHD meant until we explained it to them. That is sad that it's not known out there as much as it should be. Im sorry if it seems like im rambling on i dont really know how to discuss things very well lol.
