I can't seem to find my email. My 2 year old daughter sent it somewhere. LOL I left my email opened and went to answer the phone. When I came back my AVG was scanning my email for viruses and in a flash my email inbox was emptied. It looks like it was sent to a POP address, but I don't remember setting one up. Can anyone help me? LOL

I'm glad you found your email. I was going to suggest that you look at outlook express, because that happened to me once also. I've never used outlook express and still have no idea how it happened. I'm not even sure what outlook express is. Maybe someone can enlighten me about it.

I also use bellsouth. Maybe you can tell me why mine doesn't go to outlook express? It must have been something I checked during installation. I really need to know more about outlook express, I guess.
Thanks for the best response also.

Lol, maybe I should ask my 2 year old daughter. She seemed like she knew exactly what she was doing. I am going to try and read the avg forum tomorrow. They were the only people I felt like I understood somewhat. I tried using the Outlook express help but it didn't help much.

yeah, I think so. I kind of like the outlook express better. She did me a favor. I just need to get use to it. I still get mail in my regular email but if I open outlook everything in my bellsouth inbox gets scan with avg and goes to outlook. I just need to figure out how to change it. LOL

I'm not sure how the email inbox could be emptied unless she pressed "delete". Do you have any sort of back-up facility? Or does your email provider have a back-up facility? If might be worth looking through their help pages to see if they do.

yes, I do....she was so excited watching my emails being scanned. Somehow she opened up my avg virus ware. Avg scanned my emails and sent them to my POP mail. The screen action was super fast. LOL My daughter loved it!

I happy to report I found my email. LOL. Not exactly sure how but that's okay. Now, I need to know why my emails keep going to outlook express instead of my regular email account. But that's a headache for another day. LOL I just needed to get back a few important emails.

I'm not sure syatem restore will get my email back. It may take my computer back a few days but I don't think it applies to my email account. I tried to use the back button and I wasn't able to retrieve anything either. Oh bummer. Thanks

LOL, yeah my 2 year old daughter said "gone....what happened?" same thing I said. I tried system restore and that didn't work. Technical support for my email provider was nothing more than annoying.
I believe what happened is my email was sent to a pop server. The problem is I don't know who that is. It may be earthlink because that was my original isp provider when I first bought my computer.
My email now is web email and not outlook express. It's all very confusing to me. LOL
