Do you work your current job for pleasure or money?
Do you enjoy what you do each day or are you just there to pay the bills?
If you are working for the money...what job would you do for enjoyment if the money did not matter?
Share your feelings with other Mylotters.

I work for money and not for pleasure. I think everybody works if not everybody most people works for money and pleasure will just come after you are enjoying your job and you really need to enjoy it for it is the source of your income.

Fair Comment, although, some people stay in their job for the money instead of perhaps taking a pay cut to have a more enjoyable job.

I am a Vet by Profession. I had my own Clinic for small animals, having practiced for some time there I had to opt for a job where I could make good money at the same time I could give some time to my family, as it was not possible to spare time for family with he Pet Clinis as it becomes a full tiume responsibility. So after giving a detailed thought, I have decided and joined a Stud Farm in the capacity of Resident Vet, where the Thrpoughbred horses are bred. Initially my Idea as asaid above aws to make good money only!
But with the passing of time and after putting several yeras of time intoi this profession, I no longer feel that I am working for just the money any more! This is possibly because I made enough money andI have only one son and he will be becoming an Engineer within a couple of years as he is studying now!
Now I enjoy my work, I enjoy the horses and the work dealing with them. I take immense pleasure in working with these dumb creatures . They are affectionate, adorable, Royal, dinified and above all intelligent and caring. They reciprocate your every action. Now I can read their feelings and I can communicate with these dumb creatures. What else can be more rewarding than getting a look of appreciation from a dumb creature for the job you have done for their welfare! I think I am hooked to this profession and it is very difficult for me to get out of it !

Thanks for giving us an insight into your life experiences.
You seem to appreciate the work that you do, however, it does confuse me that you constantly call them "Dumb animals". Each to their own I guess.

Unfortunately I work for the money, I only work about 15 hours a week, but it is a must to pay the bills. I do not enjoy my job and my employer is less than desirable, it kinda sucks. I would love to freelance write for a living and actually get paid, right now I am working towards that by building a portfolio of work online so that people can see it.
