Are you in the US? If so, try your local library. Check out their website or call - many have a subscription to NetLibrary and offer a huge catalog of free ebooks. If you're in a rural area or your local library doesn't offer it, call or locate a large library system (I like cuyahogalibrary.com) and see if you can apply as a non-resident. Often there is a small fee for this (like $10) but it will give you free access to their audio books from then on.
