What are the best freeware non MMORPG roleplaying games around for t he pc?

I have a pretty good rig to play modern action shooters and stuff.HOwever very often I find my self going back to older games such as diablo 2,sanitarium,grim fandango and even text classics such as hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.Can anyone please name a few old fashioned rpgs(Freeware possibly) similar to diablo 2,

well... am not sure bout a free rpg game.... try checkin out ragnarok... itz not free but itz really cheap!!!

Hi there. I can't think of one similar to how diablo looks but I know where you can get the real old rpg games for free. It's all legit. www.abandonia.com This site has a lot of games from the 80's to the 90's. It has a lot of rpg games too. I got a lot of the old dungeons and dragons from there too. Hmm I think ultima:pagan feels sorta like diablo 1. I got it from there. Good luck on your search!
