ammonia - free hair colours?

hey friends, do you know of any ammonia-free hair colours? can you name them, yes, brand names - herbal or otherwise?
actually, i have been using hair colour for long. i started for fashion and has bee going on, changing from one brand and colour to the other. now, am beginning to lose hair rapidly, and don't know what to do.
also, have couple of grey hair appearing. am getting panicky now.
am thinking of switching to colours less harmful to hair and scalp. can you help by suggesting a few names?

I think loreal got this hair color thing without ammonia. My friend tried it and it is really very good. I color her hair cos she got a lot of grey hair and just after 20 mins we rinse it and got a very good coverge to grey hair. It also smells good its because it doesnt have any ammonia at all to make you feel sick just smelling at it.
